Moving on - Winning a grant from the Czech Embassy in Lusaka
We have great news from the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Zambia! 158 projects applied for a grant from the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Zambia. Only 3 were awarded the grant and our Kashitu Secondary School project is one of them!
The project was entered into the process through the New Renato Community Society, with whom and for whom the whole endeavor is being created. With this success, we are one big step closer to realizing the Kashitu Secondary School campus - the construction of a multi-purpose building. Its construction is costing 1 200,000 CZK, after winning the grant we still have 700 000 CZK.
In total, 86 proposals were submitted from Zambia, 30 from Malawi, and 42 from Zimbabwe. According to the rules of the grant procedure, the Czech Embassy selected 28 proposals from Zambia, 5 from Malawi and 5 from Zimbabwe. A committee of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and the Czech Development Agency selected 3 projects to be implemented in 2024.
Congratulations to the other successful projects and thank you to the Embassy of the Czech Republic!
