After a year back on the site and the bricks are largely finished!

A year later, we are back on site and already working full speed on the construction of the next building. The first members of the team arrived in Zambia a few days ago, acclimatised and got straight down to business.

Thanks to the long-term work of the locals, the bricks from our brick machine are already largely ready for this year's construction. This makes the process significantly more efficient than a year ago and will give space to develop the community in other skills and abilities.

At the moment work is well underway on the foundation structure and the unfired bricks are being finished. Production is optimised at 650 bricks per day.

In addition, in the days after arrival, the necessary equipment, materials and formalities had to be arranged at the embassy in the capital Lusaka. The team thus spread out to different cities and locations. Those within the radius of Kashitu village are fully engaged in securing the necessary building materials.
